GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

StarStorm is an RTS AutoBattler which pits players and their personal fleet of starships against countless enemies in a fierce tug-of-war. Coming soon to Steam

 

Each player prepares combat units that are sent out in waves against the enemy, with the objective of overrunning and destroying them. 

 

The player has the ability to select, upgrade, and replace what units are spawned between waves.

THE DEVELOPER'S STORY

My name is Tylor, I go by Anvil. I started off making custom game modes for my father to play in my favorite game ‘Starcraft’ at a young age.

 

The science of game design and what makes something fun to the human mind has been a passionate study of mine. I hope to channel this passion into my games. 

 

I’m from a small desert town. Not exactly silicon valley. More like, uhhm . . dirt. That’s it. No valleys around here. For the last few years I’ve worked graveyard shifts at various Hotels. This allowed me to teach myself programming and game design in my down time. For years I practiced, but work was picking up due to Covid-19 related layoffs. I no longer felt I was making significant enough progress, or had time to practice, so one day I dove off the deep end. I quit that job with what little savings I had to become a full-time game designer & programmer, and haven’t looked back since.

 

Now I plan to start my own studio and run it with all the skills and passion I’ve had burning inside me over the years. 


Up until this point, StarStorm has been primarily done by myself. This will change as my team grows. Special thanks to the authors of the documentation and Youtube tutorials I so often rerefer to, and the giants whose shoulders we are all standing on today who make this possible.
